A liderc was a magical incubus/succubus entity. Incapable of shapeshifting, liderc appeared in four forms simultaneously — a man, a woman, an animal and a shining light — using magic to choose which form their victim would see. Liderc were feared in Hungary but could be repelled with garlic.
