The Archducal Palace of Ecaz was the seat of Government in planet Ecaz, and the residence of the House Ecaz' Archduke, sovereign of the planet. Inside the Palace, stood the ancestral Mahagony Throne, legendary seat of the Archdukes of House Ecaz. During the treacherous attack of Viscount Hundro Moritani to the Ecazi Capital, the Palace was bombarded and the Mahagony Throne reduced to ashes. After Vidal's assassination by Duke Leto and Gurney Halleck, Archduke Armand assembled his forces and moved to Grumman, where he was going to revenge from House Moritani, supported by the Atreides army.
