Aernus is one of the twelve aspects of the oversoul known as the Sacred Twelve which was originally worshipped by the Al-Antidians during the First Era, and later by many Perennial cults during the Second Era. The dogma surrounding Aernus places him as the embodiment of oneness, transcendence and immanence, three qualities present in God. In the Aenean Church, he is regarded as the effective leader of the Sacred Twelve, and as the most powerful personality of God.
