Was Jamirran was the Senator of Champala in 19 BBY. A Chagrian male, he was the cousin of Les Jamirran on his father's side and the cousin of Mas Amedda on his mother's side. Mas Amedda's assurances of Palpatine's good intentions dissuaded Was from signing the Declaration of 2000. This proved fortunate, as Was was thus not held under suspicion by the Galactic Empire. He felt betrayed by the declaration of a New Order, and discreetly supported the Alderaanian Resistance. He joined Bail Organa and Mon Mothma in recruiting Xzylon to their quiet fight against Palpatine's tyranny.
