Cryptograf is the soothsayer to the Viking chief Timandahaf. He may seem loyal and compassionate, but he is sly, evil, arrogant, manipulative, and conniving. Cryptograf plots with his buffoonish son, Olaf, to seize power over the Vikings by overthrowing the chief and persuades him to marry Abba. He also plans to take out the Champion of Fear, Justforkix, and despite his lust for power, Cryptograf's major flaws are his cowardice and pride.
