We acquired mining equipment while near Damascus. I can hardly tell you how eager I was to take the main drilling machine apart and learn from it. During my struggles with the casing, the machine accidentally got turned on. The hole in the deck is tiny, barely three feet across and I’m sure no one would notice it who was not looking for it. I’m sorry to say that some remarkably unladylike words escaped me when I discovered the damage.
