The Canterbury Rebellion was a minor resistance movement in the County of Canterbury, on the planet Minister in early 2560. The rebellion was formed by numerous agrarian groups, allied with several nationalist organizations, that opposed the increasing urbanization and immigration that they claimed was harming the local agricultural economy and traditional way of life in Canterbury County, specifically in the city of Oak Hill. While the early part of the rebellion largely consisted of peaceful protests and public debates between the two conflicting sides, it would ultimately lead to a minor armed stand between several agrarian militias and the Minister Colonial Guard.
