The Delivery Man worked for Garbutts and brought the food to the Rovers for an evening celebration party in May 1973 when Alf Roberts and Annie Walker had been installed as Mayor and Mayoress of Weatherfield. They were not the usual caterers but Billy Walker had run up gambling debts and their usual ones refused to deal with him any more. The delivery man got Bet Lynch to sign the delivery docket and said that he would drop off the bill later on.
