On January 10, 2009, in Fussen, Germany, Kendall Coyne scored the game winning goal in overtime for the US in the gold medal game of the 2009 IIHF Under 19 championships. In the gold medal game of the 2010 Four Nations Cup, Kendall Coyne scored for the United States. On January 28, 2011, it was announced that Coyne was named to the preliminary roster for the U.S. Women's National Team. From April 4 to 12, 2011, she was one of 30 players that took part in a selection / training camp. She was named to the final roster that participated at the 2011 IIHF Women's World Championship.
