In 2379, after the disasterous Tezwa affair, the USS Republic was grouped with the USS Musashi and the USS Amargosa and sent to that world. The three vessels were sent to aid the USS Enterprise with the reconstruction of Tezwa, where millions of citizens lay dead and most major city structures had been destroyed by the Klingons.
