Furmo was the Log-a-Log of the Guosim at the time when Martin the Warrior went questing for his father. Furmo was only too eager to help Martin on his quest, as the Guosim shrews were growing restless and quarrelsome. Furmo was a fine fighter and a good leader of shrews, as well as an excellent cook. However, of the few things that intimidated him his own wife ranked first on the list. Furmo himself admitted that Honeysuckle was the true leader of the Guosim.
