Johann Gambolputty is a sketch that appears in the sixth episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus with host Arthur Figgis, portrayed by Graham Chapman. Gambolputty's name is said to be the greatest in German Baroque music. And it is, literally. Figgis devotes the segment of "It's the Arts" to the question of "why no one has ever remembered (his) name". He commences to introduce a remote interview conducted by John Cleese (as the ubiquitous BBC announcer). In its complete form, his name is:
