Live by the Sword is a 2011 Lovian novel by Ygo August Donia, and his debut as a writer of fiction. Live by the Sword tells the story of a knight "who lives the hard life in the Dark Ages" and who eventually dies on the battlefield. It is set in Medieval Europe. Its an epic story within the tradition of chivalric literature, interweaving the knightly virtues and courtly love with a more martial notion of knighthood. Live by the Sword fits within the paradigm of traditional epic fiction, including plot twists around treachery, betrayal and love interests.
