Glisseo is the incantation of a charm that can be used to transform a staircase into a smooth slide. It is rather old, having been used in the medieval ages. The founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry used this enchantment on the girls' staircase in Gryffindor Tower because they believed boys to be less trustworthy than girls. Hermione Granger later performed this spell on an unnamed staircase somewhere at the lower floors in Hogwarts when she, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley were chased there by some Death Eaters during the Battle of Hogwarts.
