The Usher was one of the court staff at Alan Bradley's trial for fraud and assault at Weatherfield Crown Court in October 1989. As part of her duties, the usher directed Alf Roberts and Bet Gilroy to the public gallery just before the trial started. When Alan pleaded guilty to both charges, the usher left the courtroom and told Rita Fairclough and Jenny Bradley that they wouldn't be required to give evidence against Alan and were free to go.
