Over a year ago, the Green Lantern Corps united to battle Superboy-Prime, arguably one of the most powerful beings in the universe. It took the might of the Corps, Superman, and the Superman of Earth-2 to finally bring Superboy-Prime down. Casualties were heavy, thirty-two Green Lanterns lost their lives. Markot Five was one of the Green Lanterns assigned this task until released from prime duty by Green Lantern Salaak. His replacement was Honor Guard Lantern Guy Gardner, who had been punished for disobeying the orders of the Guardians of the Universe.
