The UNSC Airbourne Corps is the corps of the UNSC Army specialising in rapidly deploying airbourne units in an area in a planet which it is garrioned on. It is currently lead by Lieutenant General Lloyd Thomsom. The UNSC Airbourne numbered at around 100,000 in peace time although increased to 250,000 in times of The Insurrection and 500,000 in the Human-Covenant War and after it. However it suffered heavy casualties in regards to paratrooper operations against the Covenant due to the inefficency of parachuting in against a tier 2 civilisation and was constantly recruiting to keep that number to 500,000.
