Kaya Tenarai (天荒い茅, Tenarai Kaya; Literally meaning "Rough Heaven, Hay") is the current Headmaster of the Academy within Noragakure, and is commonly called by others. Furthermore, she was the personal teacher of Class 1, and therefore, taught Kama Yatogami and Ayashi. Kaya is an exceptionally skillful Jōnin whose previous tenures as an ANBU within Sunagakure have given her the necessary skills to teach others. While commonly considered to be a rather frightening individual, Kaya has a good heart and isn't afraid of defending her village and its honor.
