Pal Aron was born in 1971 in Birmingham and became a professional actor after appearing with the Theatre of the Unemployed in his home city. He appeared in two roles on Coronation Street: he initially played the role of Sunita Alahan's brother, Jayesh Parekh, in 2001 (the role was later played by Ace Bhatti) and then returned as Sonny Dhillon irregularly between 2006 and 2007. He has also acted on stage with the RSC to great acclaim.
