Sawyer is a young boy who lives with his mother in a house by the sea. One day, he discovers a dolphin named Winter, who has lost her tail from getting caught in a crab trap. Sawyer takes the dolphin to the aquarium, where she is cared for by a veterinarian. As the days pass, Sawyer helps Winter every step of the way and this leads her to become the most famous dolphin of all.
