Overstumming is when a player misses a notes by strumming when there is not a note. Overstrumming will cause you to loose your streak and multiplier, but it will not damage your percentage. Overstrumming ruins the chance of a technical FC, but a 100% can still be achieved. Overstrums most often occur where there are long strings of similar notes.
