Pauline the Jackal is a sixteen-year-old black-backed jackal, first appearing in the Theta the Otter series. She first meets Theta at Slayde's facility, where she appears to be working for him. However, she escapes alongside Theta, taking him back to her house via a freight train. She proves to Theta that she is kind and uninterested in intimate relationships, leading Theta to eventually have feelings for her. Unfortunately, things turn to chaos when Pauline reveals her true identity.
