Jim Watkins is a former NASCAR driver from Detroit, MI. He competed in three Nextel Cup Series events in his career. All of those races came in 1956, when Watkins debuted at Norfolk. Despite falling out of the race early, Watkins drove to a 12th place finish. That was the story of his season: DNFing yet still recording solid finishes. He finished 16th at Spartanburg and 18th at Myrtle Beach.
