The Gotei 13 are fully aware of Ichigo's Shinigami status, and they will have been briefed as to Aizens Shikai and its abilities if they didn't already know. The captains all know that Ichigo is the only Shinigami with enough power who hasn't seen Aizen's shikai to be effective while fighting him.
