The user "diarmyhowley" began the original thread on November 4th, 2008, claiming that a "The Shape of Things to Come" freeze frame of the smoke monster resembled the head of a dinosaur. Replies parodied the original post's incorrect grammar and spelling as well as its improbable theory. Later replies included multiple-frame comics of Lost screenshots captioned with actual text lifted verbatim from other threads. Links to these threads usually accompanied the comic.
