After making the appropriate hand signs, the user gathers water from an available source, compresses it, and shapes it into one or more shuriken. A talented Water Release user can create the water needed for this jutsu without a source. Despite the simplicity, it is an extremely powerful jutsu, and can difficult to control. When formed, the shuriken serves three functions. The functions can be accessed individually, in a combination of two, or all at once. The user can also combine this jutsu with the Shadow Shuriken Technique to make it even more dangerous.
