The bacau was a species of fish analogue native to the oceans of Mesa. It was the most commonly sold, food fish on the planet, mainly consumed by the seccy population. It was not particularly large, had an oily flavor and a strong smell. Vivid lateral stripes indicated a high level of pollutants in the flesh, causing most people to avoid those fish. (CS3)
