Rough Beasts of Empire is a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel, featuring elements from Star Trek: The Original Series, by David R. George III published by Pocket Books in January 2011. It is the third novel in the Star Trek: Typhon Pact cross-over series and centers around Sisko's life during and after the Borg Invasion of 2381 and the struggle of Spock's Unification movement on Romulus.
