Eddie Gordon was a former street hood, the absolute antithesis of Odette Morton, and thus the ideal casting choice for the producers of "A Night of Dance", which preceded A Dance With Death. He was to "bring the drama", and he did, on and off-set, which is why, when Odette turns up dead, Eddie's is the first name on many lips. The show's policy of bringing back the last contestant eliminated if one of the current crop is unable to continue, means that Odette getting bumped off bumps Eddie to the head of the line.
