Advanced coding is the use of any of the various idiosyncrasies in Chip's Challenge while designing a level. These are not features intended to be used in normal level design and are used exclusively by insane levels. There are three types of advanced coding that have been discovered to date. They are: * Data resetting * Multiple Monster Glitch * Multiple Tank Glitch (a special case of the Multiple Monster Glitch that has additional unique anomalies) These advanced coding techniques are almost always only supported in Microsoft's version of Chip's Challenge.
