The Final Fantasy series is a series of RPG's made by Square Enix (previously known as Square), and the most well known RPG series there is. The games are mainly on the PlayStation consoles, however some of them are on Nintendo consoles (and there is a subseries of games featured all on Nintendo consoles, the Crystal Chronicles series). Nintendo lost Square Enix and the Final Fantasy series in the N64 era where Square Enix wanted to get with the disc craze and disliked the N64's cartridges.
