Spring's End was established back in the pioneer days, built around the end of a freshwater stream where it slowly spread out and disappeared into the ground--hence the name. The city's preindustrial roots are still evident from its layout, with meandering streets and zoning problems that extend to this day. The centerpiece of all this is a huge park, containing miles of forest, a ruined amphitheater, a sports field, a cycling and jogging path, and a small lake with a single dock. It has a large community of changelings, with around one out of every 300 or so members of the town having known the 'hospitality' of the Gentry.
