The Plains of the Prophet in the Yogen province was a large grassland plain with rice fields near the northeast coast. The Uikku Shrine was built there, dedicated to the Phoenix shugenja Uikku who recorded the Tao of Shinsei, and the entire area around the shrine, including Heigen Yogensha were considered sacred.
