Asahina Akira was a senior Imperial Magistrate. In 1193 Akira, his yoriki and his yojimbo came to the Spine of the World Mountains seeking a dangerous group of bandits and smugglers. Mainain, a sohei of the Monastery Among the Winds, joined the group and found the tracks of the bandit, who were led by a sorcerer, a former Ide Caravan Master. The outlaw were destroyed, with some loses on Akira's group.
