Gallek was a male Cardassian in the 24th century. He was a wealthy man who lived on Bajor during the Occupation, and had a large household full of servants. Among those servants was a young Bajoran girl named Leeta, for whom he developed a great fondness. Leeta continued to work for Gallek as she matured to adulthood, and although he considered her very beautiful, he refrained from any sexual contact and treated her well. Leeta used his fondness for her to convince Gallek to improve the living conditions of all his servants.
