Assassination is a Rogue skill and talent tree. It is almost entirely offensive, focusing on combo point generation, increasing burst damage while out of stealth, and increasing the effects of a rogue's debuffs. Rogue talent builds focusing on Assassination are usually referred to as Seal Fate or Mutilate builds. Crit rating is the most important attribute for this tree, as an Assassin rogue relies heavily on crits from special attacks like Sinister Strike and Backstab for combo point generation. It is also necessary to have fast weapons to provide more chances to apply poisons. Seal Fate rogues deal most of their damage through special attacks (or 'yellow damage').
