Qat'qa (or Kat as she was known to her friends) was a Klingon officer assigned to the Officer Exchange Program in the 24th century. In 2382 Kat was assigned to serve as the Helmsman aboard the Galaxy-class USS Challenger under the command of Montgomery Scott. Scott selected her because of her history as a test pilot for the Klingon Defense Force. She would remain aboard the Challenger until its destruction in 2383 at NGC 4414.
