Benez'ahn was an inhabited planet located on the edge of the Gorn Hegemony. It was the homeworld of the Benzenites as well as a member of the United Federation of Planets. (Border Cutter Silverfin) It was a small planet situated outside its systems ‘habitable zone’. Its surface was barren with little vegetation. It was also wracked by storms that could last for months at a time. It had a low gravity and a thin atmosphere composed mostly of carbon dioxide, with small amounts of oxygen, argon and fluorine. In 2337, the planet was admitted into the United Federation of Planets.
