La'b Rosëya was played in Damascus (Syria) in the late 19th century. It is not known if the game is still a popular pastime. The game is a variant of La'b Madjnuni and was played only by children, who frequently play the game in holes made in the ground when they have no board. Culin claimed that the "first player invariably wins", however this is wrong. As anyone can check for themselves, it is the second player who wins - at least with the rules Culin provided! La'b Rosëya was first described by Stewart Culin in 1894.
