A Bomb Slot (called Morph Ball Slot in Metroid Prime and Bomb Activation Device in Metroid Prime Official Perfect Guide) is a spherical device that is used to fulfill certain goals found in the Prime Trilogy. Bomb Slots can be used to activate a variety of machinery when a power surge is sent through them. This "surge" can only be created by a Morph Ball Bomb. Usually, the Bomb Slot can be activated immediately by detonating a Bomb, but some require a new power supply to make them functional.
