In 2375, the runabout USS Gander, carrying Lieutenant Ezri Dax and Lieutenant Commander Worf, attempted to lose two pursuing Jem'Hadar attack ships in this system. The runabout was destroyed in the atmosphere of Goralis III, though Dax and Worf transported to the surface. They were later captured by a Breen. (DS9: "Penumbra", "Tears of the Prophets")
