Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich (7 March 1904 – 1 May 1956) was an SS-Obergruppenführer, chief of the Reich Security Main Office (including the Gestapo, SS and Kripo Nazi police agencies) and Reichsprotektor (Reich Protector) of Bohemia and Moravia , ruler of Reichskommissariat Kaukasus and finally Reichskanzler of the Third Reich. Heydrich chaired the 1942 Wannsee conference, which finalized plans for the extermination of all European and Russian Jews in what is now referred to as the Holocaust. After Hitler's death, he became locked in a bloody civil war with Himmler, his former commander until he was victorious in 1952. To many his rein was worse than that of Hitler, he was cold, unemotional and entirely loyal to the Nazi and Aryan ideals.
