After a few months of the original Avengers death the Young Avengers were the only ones feeling better enough to fight the criminals. Impressed by their show of strength the original Vision decided to test them to see if they have what it takes. After a series of tests Vision was able to call them New Avenger but for a small price. They would have to change their names to the superhero they almost look like, and they would have to let X-23 join. Accepting both offers the team change their names and safely called themselves the New Avengers.
