John Stackpole was a Manticoran citzen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy. Holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander, he served as the staff operations officer of Battlecruiser Squadron 81 in the Eighth Fleet. (HH11) He fought in the Battle of Solon.
