The Kibakuchū's appearance is based of the insect Rhagium mordax and like the Kikaichū, they are capable of flight. The Kibakuchū are unique in regard to other insects due to them possessing explosive power and can be used in tactical or large scale explosions. The beetles blow up if they are killed by their foe by any sort of method, though this doesn't seem to apply if the beetles die either through naturally causes or killed in close proximity to their host.
