Born in London on 27th July 1942, Barbara Ferris played cockney barmaid Nona Willis on Coronation Street during 1961. Her acting career includes a leading role in the film Village of the Damned and a smaller role in the film Bitter Harvest, based on Patrick Hamilton's novel Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky, which was later made into a TV mini-series. She was the female lead in the controversial Edward Bond play Saved.
