“In 1999 the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws promulgated the Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act (UCITA) to cover agreements to ‘create, modify, transfer, or license computer information or informational rights in computer information.’ The UCITA, formerly known as proposed U.C.C. Article 2B, was approved and recommended for enactment by the states in July 1999.”
