Donald Gates III was the grandson of Donald Gates, founder of JTech and former presidential candidate. Donald Gates III was the CEO of JTech until his death. The Gates family was one of the wealthiest families during the First Maritime Republic as the primary shareholders of JTech. Unfortunately, with the collapse of J Andres, much of the wealth disappeared as well. Gates held on to the family land knowing that the value would eventually rise and stabilize when the nation reformed.
