Jean Loring, who is a lawyer, must defend a friend of hers accused of robbery. The friend blames it on a little man who disappeared with the money -- a genie, no doubt. Investigating, The Atom finds the "genie" is a teleporting space traveller, one Kulan Dar, who became stranded on Earth and fell under the control of crook Carl Ballard. Atom helps free Kulan Dar from Ballard's control, after which Kulan Dar appears in court to free the friend of the robbery charges.
