Rangers can apply the kit to themselves or to other players. Kits are only useful to players while on the planet they are designed to match. While concealed, you can get scouting experience for not being detected by an aggressive MOB, similar to Mask Scent. Unlike Mask Scent, however, concealment also works against NPC's, and you gain Scouting experience for successfully being concealed from them.
